Sequel Stallions New York's Mission Impazible is off to a winning start as a sire.
Silver Mission, the first starter for his sire, won a $100,000 maiden special weight 2-year-old race April 21 at Aqueduct Racetrack by three-quarters of a length. The colt, who races for breeders Twin Creeks Racing Stables and Sequel Thoroughbreds, withstood an inquiry to win the race. Watch Video
Mission Impazible, who was campaigned by Twin Creeks, won three of his 21 starts, including the Louisiana Derby (gr. II) and the New Orleans Handicap (gr. II). He was also second in the Donn (gr. I), beaten a nose by Hymn Book.
A son of Unbridled's Song, Mission Impazible is out of the Hold Your Peace mare La Paz. He stands for $7,500.
New York-bred Silver Mission is trained by Todd Pletcher, who also conditioned Mission Impazible. |
